  1. NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 22nd for Parent Teacher Interviews.
  2. Kindergarten has NO SCHOOL on Thursday, March 21st due to Parent Teacher Interviews.
  3. Booking for Parent Teacher Interviews is currently open in your MyCBE/PowerSchool account and will close at midnight on Wednesday, March 20th. The March 21st and 22nd interviews will be student led conferences for grades 1-5. Kindergarten will have regular conferences. Parents, you are invited to arrive 10-20 minutes prior to your scheduled time to share with your child their student work. Please be aware that other families will be in the classroom during your scheduled conference time. If you book the first time slot for your interview please note you will be doing your sharing after your interview. If you would prefer to have a private interview please make arrangements with your child's teacher to meet at another agreed upon time.
  4. Parent Council meeting is Tuesday, March 19th at 7:00 pm. See you there! If you are unable to join us in person you can join via teams at this link Click here to join the meeting
  5. We will be holding a book fair on March 21st and 22nd. A flyer with all the details is attached to the body of this email. We are looking for parents to help out with the book fair. If you are able please sign up at this link to fill a time slot.   6. Please come take a look at the lost and found as it is still overflowing. All items will be donated on Friday, March 22nd.
  7. Cranston School families have over $180,000 in fees due towards noon supervision, bussing, fieldtrips, and SSF (Student Supplies Fee) from 2017 to present. Some of these fees are owed to the Calgary Board of Education while others are owed to the school. Once overdue fees are paid, the money goes back to the schools owed money regardless of the amount of time passed. This week in Music

Grades four and five students finished writing and recording their raps.  We have moved on to the third element of Hip Hop, Breakdancing.

Grades ones, two and three spent some time listening to and learning a bit about Irish music.  We learned how to dance an Irish Jig, ask your student to show you!
