PM Kindergarten attends on Friday, November 1 from 8:05 am to 11:45am.

  • NO SCHOOL from Friday, November 8 to Wednesday, November 13 for fall break. All grades resume classes on Thursday, November 14
  • Reminder: It’s fall back this weekend! Don’t forget to change your clocks.
  • Parents: We have had numerous glass lunch containers break. We are just thankful there have been no serious injuries as a result. We are asking to please keep the glass containers at home. Thank you.
  • Attached to this email you will find the Child and Youth Well-Being, Family & Caregiver Fall Series resources. There are both live sessions that parents/guardians can sign up for and recorded sessions for you to access when convenient.
  • Remembrance Day is fast approaching. As part of this we are asking those who have current Canadian service members or veterans in their family to send a digital photo of your Cranston Student as well as a photo (or a copy of an older photograph) of their current service member or veteran. Please have your submissions emailed to Mrs. Stricker at ojstricker@cbe.ab.ca by November 5. Ms. Stricker has kept all the submissions from last year’s display so if you submitted last year no need to resend for this year. There are a few bio questions to help identify their role and connection to our community.

  • We are all busy preparing for the Remembrance Day assembly, which will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 10:00am. If your child participates in Sparks, Brownies, Cubs or Beavers they are welcome to wear their uniforms this day. Please feel free to join us, if able. Space is very limited.
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences are on November 28 and 29. You will be able to go in and book a 15 minute conference starting at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 20 and will close at midnight on Wednesday, November 27. You MUST log into your MyCBE account to book a time with your child’s teacher.
  • The lost and found is overflowing. Please stop in and take a look.
