Principal's Post
It is the time of year when we begin making staffing decisions for the upcoming school year. To plan effectively and ensure the best possible learning environments for our students, it is important that we have accurate enrollment numbers.
Our staff takes great care in planning thoughtful and supportive transitions for students. To do this well, we rely on families to keep us informed of any upcoming changes. If your family will be moving out of the Cranston or Seton communities and your child will not be attending Cranston School next year, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can ensure appropriate transfer processes are completed. In addition, if you have a child in your family who will be turning 5 and starting Kindergarten in the fall, please contact the school right away if you have not already done so. This will ensure your family is included in our upcoming Welcome to Kindergarten Orientation Night.
Transitions are an important part of the school year, and with your support, we can ensure they are smooth, thoughtful, and positive for all students. Thank you for helping us plan in ways that best support the learning and well-being of your children.
Reminders and Ramblings
- As the weather continues to warm and the snow melts, our playground remains wet and muddy. Please consider sending a change of pants and socks in your child’s backpack so they can stay comfortable throughout the day.
- As the weather improves and more students are riding bikes and scooters to school, please take extra care while driving on the roads around the school. Also, please make sure your child has a way to lock up their bikes/scooters to the bike racks in front of the building. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Cranston School Council Corner (a message from our Council Key Communicator)
A huge thank you to our School Council organizing team for putting together such a fantastic school dance. It was wonderful to see our community come together for such a fun evening! And to all the parents who volunteered their time to help things run smoothly, we truly couldn’t do this without you.
A special thank you as well to Hairtropics (owned by a Cranston School parent!) for donating the glow bracelets and generous gift certificate to the salon and also to for Flossy AF Cotton Candy for the treats. We’re so grateful for the support to make the evening even more special
Our next School Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 21st from 6:30–7:30 PM. We’d love to see you there! It’s a great way to stay informed and connected, with no long-term commitment required. You can join us in person at Cranston School or online via Teams using the link sent to you in an email on Friday.
