Prinicpal's Post

What an incredible evening we shared together at our first-ever Outdoor Spring Concert in the Park last Monday!

Peace, Hope and Harmony

At Cranston School, the three wings of our building and our school crane logo are grounded in the words Peace, Hope, and Harmony. Last Monday evening, those words truly came to life as students, families, staff, and community members gathered together to celebrate music, learning, and connection. We witnessed PEACE as families slowed down and spent time together outdoors, HOPE as students demonstrated courage and confidence in front of a large audience, and HARMONY as 600 student voices joined together to debut our newly written school song “The Cranston Cranes.” We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.

 Thank You's

A special thank you to our Music Specialist Mrs. McBride, whose passion, patience, organization, and talent brought the evening to life. Through her dedication to providing quality Performing Arts education in schools, your children learn confidence, creativity, collaboration, perseverance, and the pride that comes from working together toward a common goal.

Thank you to our students for sharing their voices so courageously, to our staff for their flexibility and support throughout the rehearsal process and event itself, and to our School Council volunteers for organizing the food trucks for the event.

Finally, thank you to our families for joining us, cheering on our students, and embracing this new event with such enthusiasm. We are especially grateful to those who took the time to send kind emails and words of encouragement following the concert. Your feedback meant a great deal to our staff and reinforced what a special community we have here at Cranston School.

Reminders & Ramblings

  • The forecast is calling for significant rain over the coming week. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for wet weather, including a hat, jacket, and suitable footwear.
  • This is also a great time to send an extra pair of socks and a change of clothes in your child's backpack. Even with our best efforts, puddles have a way of finding students, and having dry clothing available can make the rest of the school day much more comfortable.
