Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first School Council and Fundraising Society meetings of the year on September 15. Parent and guardian involvement is an important part of a strong school community, and we appreciate those who took the time to attend, ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about what is happening at Cranston.
We would especially like to thank the parents and guardians who volunteered to take on executive and leadership roles with School Council and the Fundraising Society for the 2026–27 school year. Volunteers help strengthen the partnership between home and school and your work supports many of the opportunities and experiences available to our students.
It is not too late to get involved!
The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 20 at 6:30 pm.
- All Cranston parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend! In the meantime, families can read meeting minutes and learn more about School Council and the Parent Fundraising Society in the “Get Involved” section of the Cranston School website.
The next big need for volunteers is for our upcoming Casino fundraiser taking place December 13 and 14. If you can sign up for a shift, please reach out to school council at cranstoncouncil@gmail.com as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your support!

Reminders & Ramblings
Annual Demographic Confirmation & Parenting/Custody Documents:
Parents and guardians are responsible for completing the Annual Demographic Confirmation for each child through their MyCBE account. This helps ensure that the contact and demographic information we have on file for your child is accurate and current. If you have not yet completed this year's confirmation, please take a few minutes to do so this week.
Parents and guardians are also responsible for providing the school with current parenting or custody orders that apply to their child. If an order is new or has changed, please ensure the most up-to-date documentation is uploaded/provided so our school records accurately reflect the current order. If you have questions or require assistance, please contact the main office by email at cranston@cbe.ab.ca or by phone.
Last Chance to Order Cranston School Clothing!
This is the final week to order Cranston Crane gear! T-shirts, hoodies, and crewneck sweatshirts are available in youth and adult sizes. Orders close September 27, so don't miss your chance to soar into the school year showing off your Cranston School clothing loud and proud!
School Bus:
If your child normally rides the school bus but you plan to pick them up on a particular day, you MUST phone the school office before 2:15 pm to let us know. Our staff must account for every student before the buses can leave. When we are not told that a child has been picked up, this causes unnecessary worry for our staff and delays the bus for the other students/families. Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and running smoothly.
