Principal's Post

This week, we are recognizing Mental Health Week, with a special focus on Hats On for Mental Health Day on Wednesday, May 6th. This is an important opportunity for us as a school community to continue building understanding around mental health and to remind our students that taking care of our minds is just as important as taking care of our bodies. Although we allow hats in school every day, we invite students and staff to make a point of wearing a hat on Wednesday May 6 in support of Hats ON for Mental Health Day. Wearing a hat is a visible way to show support and to help spark conversations about mental health. Small acts like this help normalize these conversations and remind us that asking for help is always ok and that we are never alone.

Staffing Update: Please join me in welcoming Ms. Nasser to our Cranston School staff. Ms. Nasser is a recent education graduate and going to be joining us until the end of June. Welcome to Cranston School Ms. Nasser!

Spring Concert in the Park – Save the Date!

Our Spring Concert in the Park is quickly approaching, and we are looking forward to a wonderful evening together as a school community. All grades will be performing a few songs, and there will be a variety of food trucks on site before and during the event thanks to our amazing School Council. If you plan on attending, please bring lawn chairs or blankets so you can enjoy the performances comfortably. Parking on the streets surrounding the school will be extremely limited. Cranston residents are encouraged to walk if they are able, allowing Seton residents more opportunity to park nearby.

Approximate performance times (to be confirmed next week) are:
• 5:20 – Kindergarten / Grade 1
• 5:50 – Grade 2 / Grade 3
• 6:20 – Grade 4
• 6:40 – Finale (all grades)
