Cranston School introduced the Classroom Champions Program this year. We were paired up with our very own Olympic Athlete, Skeleton competitor Grace DaFoe, and students engaged in age-appropriate Social Emotional Learning lessons about resiliency, goal setting, and perseverance in their classrooms. We had two in person visits from our Olympic athlete mentor where she taught us about her sport and showed us some of her gear. She even joined us for Sports Day! Earlier in the school year we were invited to take part in the filming of their newest impact video. There are many Cranston cameos throughout the video and many of the student voice overs are Cranston students. Each child received a Classroom Champions shirt to celebrate their participation in the program and we are looking forward to continuing it next school year.
