Principal’s Post
Many of our classes have ventured to the ridge recently in search of Pasque flowers, or Prairie Crocus because they are one of the first flowers of spring on our meadows and sandy hillsides. Their pale blue, mauve, white or light-yellow buds peak up from the snow to tell us that the earth is waking up. Another name for the Pasque flower is “ears of the earth” because some say the flowers listen for the coming of spring. I hope that everyone has a chance to go for a walk this long weekend to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the changing season.
