The first week of March in Calgary often brings with it big swings in temperatures. Students come to school bundled up in their winter clothing and leave at the end of the day in their T-shirts. This means that our lost and found is VERY full. If you are missing any hats, mitts, boots, jackets, snow pants... we might have them! Please make a point of stopping in to check the lost and found before Spring break. The items that are not collected will be boxed up and donated on Friday March 21.
Please join us in welcoming our new Administrative Assistant, Ms. Keye-Leigh Payten-Carew, who will be starting in the office with us on Monday! Welcome Keye-Leigh!
Due to the ongoing CUPE strike, we must cancel the Scholastic Book Fair that was scheduled for March 20 and 21.
Reminders & Ramblings
Parent Teacher Conference Bookings - Opens Wednesday March 12 at 8:00am and closes Wednesday March 19 at 4:00pm. Please make sure you log in to your child’s MyCBE account between that time to select a 10 minute conference slot with your child’s teacher! Due to the ongoing CUPE strike, schools are required to hold all conferences ONLINE ONLY. Conference dates and times are as follows.
March 20 Online
- Kindergarten from 8am-11am & 12pm-2:30pm & 4pm-7pm (NO KINDERGARTEN CLASSES ON THURSDAY MARCH 20)
- Grade 1-4 from 4pm-7pm
March 21 Online
- Kindergarten to Grade 4 from 8am-12pm
All conferences must be booked online via your MyCBE/PowerSchool account. You MUST use the email address that the office has on file to create/access the account, otherwise it will give you an error code. Please keep the confirmation email for each meeting time as this contains the link you will need to access the online meeting. The office is not able to re-send any meeting links. Parents can find support information (including user guides for booking a conference, joining a conference, and a quick reference guide) on the Technical Support for Students & Parents site, under MyCBE /
PowerSchool - School Conferences.
