Principal’s Post

As we return from Fall Break, our hallways feel a little like the trees outside, holding the calm of the season and the steady strength that comes with this quieter time of year. This moment between seasons is always a gentle reminder that growth often happens quietly, in the space between what was and what is becoming. Our students step back into their routines with fresh energy and the kind of curiosity that makes this school such a joyful place to learn.

And now, with winter waiting patiently in the wings, we enter a season of reflection, warmth, and togetherness. These coming weeks invite us to slow down, notice small wonders, and support each other in meaningful ways. Thank you for the partnership you bring to our community. Wishing you all a peaceful and hopeful week ahead.

Reminders & Ramblings

Parent-Teacher Conferences: will be on November 27 & 28, 2025. These conversations allow us to give you an update on your child’s learning and to discuss next steps. We strongly encourage parents to include their children as part of the conversation. This allows students to have a voice in their learning goals and to take personal responsibility for their learning. Conference Booking will open for families starting at 6:00am on November 20 and will close on at 11:59pm on November 26, 2025. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be 15 minutes in length. All conferences are booked online through your MyCBE account.

We hope to see you there!

Individualized Program Plans: IPPs will be sent home in backpacks during the week of November 17. If your child receives one, you will have an opportunity to discuss and sign it with the teacher during conferences or at another mutually agreed-upon time before the 28th.

Student Teachers: We’re pleased to welcome two student teachers to our school community this year. Our partnership with university education programs is something we are truly proud of, and we value the opportunity to support universities in preparing the next generation of educators. By opening our classrooms to student teachers, we help them learn, grow, and shape their practice, an investment that strengthens the future of the teaching profession.  Please join us in warmly welcoming Miss. Chung and Miss. Kryvenchuk to our community.
