Monday/Wednesday Kindergarten attends on Friday December 20 from 8:05 am – 11:45 am.
Winter Break is from December 23 – January 5. Classes resume Monday, January 6.
Classroom Champions Athlete Visit and Filming Opportunity: We are excited to share that our “Classroom Champions” Olympic Athlete, Grace Dafoe, is coming to the school for a face to face visit with the students next Wednesday, December 18! Classroom Champions is sending a video crew with our athlete to capture her conversations with the students. They are intending to use some of the footage collected to update their current video which can be seen here https://vimeo.com/1026547607

In order for your child to be included in any video footage collected during this event, parents/guardians should check their child’s MyCBE account to make sure that they have given consent for Use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups (third party). If you have not given consent, or have selected “NO,” your child will be seated in such a way that the camera crew does not capture them.
Giving Trees: The Cranston Leadership Club has set up two trees in the Hub. The “Warm Hands, Happy Hearts” tree is collecting mittens and gloves for students at Douglas Harkness School and James Short Memorial School. The Food Bank tree is collecting non-perishable food donations to feed hungry families over the holidays. Students can drop off donations until December 17. Let’s warm some hands and fill some bellies together!
Ms. Rode is asking that all library books be returned by Thursday, December 19. We appreciate your assistance.

7. The student leadership team have planned the following spirit days: Monday, December 16: wear red, green and/or white Wednesday, December 18: Festive Gear Friday, December 20: Pajama day.

8. Cobs Bread is the fun snack on Friday, December 20 for those that ordered. Snacks will be delivered around 10:00 am.
