  • The lost and found is overflowing. Please come and look! All remaining items will be donated after interviews on Friday, November 29th
  • Parents: Just a reminder that our dismissal time on Monday – Thursday is 2:45 pm and 11:45 am on Fridays. Please also remind any caregivers, drivers or other guardians of this. We have been having an influx of students not being picked up on time and waiting in the office for long periods of time. Thank you.
  • Safety: Traffic violations continue to be a concern during drop-off and pick-up times. We continue to see adults jaywalking across the road with their children and drivers doing u-turns and/or parking in cross walks. People continue to park in the bus parking zone out front, making it challenging for our buses to safely deliver students. To add to this congestion, Cranston School added a 5th school bus this week. Traffic control and enforcement is not the responsibility of school staff. We have reported our concerns to the Calgary Police Service and have requested assistance. Drivers need to follow the rules of the road and put SAFETY first. A concerned parent shared a resource with us through the City of Calgary called “Active and Safe Routes to School.” We are looking into how this program might be able to support us.
