• AM kindergarten attends Friday, October 4 from 8:05 am to 11:45 am.
• Monday/Wednesday kindergarten attends Friday, October 4 from 8:05 am to 11:45 am.
• Thank you to all of those parents who updated Demographics for the 2024-2025 school year. If you have yet to complete it please log into your MyCBE Account to complete the form. Thank you for assisting us in ensuring all of our student information is accurate and up to date.
• If your child will be absent from school please call the absent line. 403-777-6267 option 1. If you are sending an email to your child’s teacher please also send to cranston@cbe.ab.ca. Teachers often do not see emails in time or assume you have also contacted the office. If we do not hear from you, we WILL be calling you. Thank you for assistance at this very busy time of the day.
• Parents: We have been giving out an excessive amount of plastic utensils, mainly spoons. Please ensure you are sending these items for your children in their lunch kits! Thank you
• Please ensure you register your Grade 1 - 4 child(ren) for lunch supervision through your MyCBE account. Those kindergarten students that are attending our alternating full day programs also need to register for lunch supervision. If you opt out of this service you will have to pick your child up everyday during the lunch period. Our fees department at a date TBD will load all Lunch Supervision and Student Supply fees.

You can expect the following for your Lunch Supervision Fees:

• A safe and caring environment for students to eat lunch.
• Supervision for the entire lunch period, unless the student is signed out by a parent/guardian.
• Daily attendance will be taken.
• Students must remain on school grounds
• A dedicated space for eating.
• Only students that have registered and paid the lunch supervision fee can access the service:
• CBE has a waiver process for families who can’t afford to pay the fees.
• Note | Use of service indicates that the Parent/Guardian accepts the terms and the responsibility to pay the annual fee.
• Income tax receipts are issued for Lunch Supervision Fees that may be included as child care expenses for income tax purposes.
• Lunch Supervision Fees are directed to providing lunchroom supervisors.

What lunch supervision service is not:

• Access to food or snacks; students are required to bring a lunch.
• Access to hot water, microwave, dishes, utensils or other cooking facilities.
