Weekly Message December 18 - 22
- AM Kindergarten attends on Friday, December 22nd from 8:05 am – 11:45am.
- Tuesday/Thursday Kindergarten attends on Friday December 22nd from 8:05 am – 11:45 am.
- Winter Break is from December 23rd – January 7th. Classes resume Monday, January 8th.
- The student leadership team have planned the following spirit days:
- Little Caesar’s is the fun lunch for those that ordered it this week. Please remember to pack your child snacks! Dates for each class are as follows:
- December 19th – All grade 1’s, all grade 5’s, Dei Cont and James
- December 20th – All grade 2’s all grade 4’s, McIntosh, Parliament and Sedgewick
- Kindergarten and Grade 1 – 4 new student registration starts on Monday, January 15th for the fall of 2024. If your child(ren) are returning to Cranston or moving to Dr. George Stanley nothing needs to be done for the 2024 – 2025 school year. Registrations will be done online through a program called School Engage. All the details are on the CBE website at https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/registration/Pages/new-students.aspx
- As we are now a lottery school for the 2024-2025 school year all registrations will be organized as per the CBE’s lottery protocol based on the following. This applies to NEW Kindergarten – Grade 4 registrations only. All those students currently attending Cranston School in Kindergarten – Grade 3 remain at Cranston School.
- Priority One – Students residing within the walk zone who have a sibling that will be attending the same program in the same school; concurrently. Cranston Schools current walk zone are all of those students that reside in Cranston.
- Priority Two – Students living outside the walk zone who will have a sibling in the same program in the same school at the same time; or students living within the walk zone who do not have a sibling in the school.
- Priority Three – all other students living in the designated attendance area. This would be those students that reside in Seton.
- We encourage parents to ensure their children are dressed properly. Many students are arriving in running shoes and without coats. Children will be going outside for recess unless it is colder than – 20 Celsius with or without the wind-chill.
· Monday, December 18th : Jersey Day
· Wednesday, December 20th : Favorite day
· Friday, December 22nd: pajama and movie day.
6. Cobs Bread is the fun snack on Friday, December 22nd for those that ordered. Snack will be delivered around 10:00 am.
