• NO School on Friday, December 8^th.
• Parents: Between 7:45 and 8:45 is an incredibly busy time in the office due to morning attendance and late students arriving to school. We are kindly asking that you wait until after 8:45 to call with non-attendance questions/concerns. Thank you for assisting us to ensure that all students arrive safely and are accounted for.
• Your grade 2/3 children will be coming home with concert tickets on Thursday, December 8^th. You will be receiving 2 tickets per family. If you would prefer to pick up your ticket at the office please make arrangements with your child’s teacher prior to Thursday.
• A&W is the fun lunch for those that ordered it this week. Please remember to pack your child snacks! Dates for each class are as follows:
  • December 5^th – All grade 1’s, all grade 5’s, Dei Cont and James
  • December 6^th – All grade 2’s all grade 4’s, McIntosh, Parliament and Sedgewick

 

 

Students in Grade 5 have been preparing Christmas Carols to sing at Sobeys on Friday, December 15th.  Our plan is to walk to Sobeys at 9am.  

Students in Grade 4 have been learning the absolute letter notes of the Treble Clef.  Ask them about the parody song I shared to help them remember.  

 

Students in 2 & 3 will be presenting "How to Train Your Reindeer to Fly," on December 13th.  We continue to work hard to memorize the song lyrics.  All are welcome to attend the dress rehearsal at 1:30pm.  Due to size restrictions, each family will receive 2 tickets for the evening performance at 6:30pm.

 

Students in Grade 1 applied their learning about high and low pitches to the colourful instruments called Boomwhackers. Ask your child how they work.
