• Parents: The office can be incredibly busy between 7:45 and 8:45 am. If you are calling about an absence, you DON’T need to speak to us directly. Please just select option 1 and leave a message. Repeated called trying to speak directly to us can cause all lines to be busy. We appreciate your assistance during this busy and important time of the day.
• Boston Pizza is the fun lunch for those that ordered it this week. Please remember to pack your child snacks! Dates for each class are as follows:
  • January 30^th – All grade 1’s, all grade 5’s, Dei Cont and James
  • January 31^st   – All grade 2’s all grade 4’s, McIntosh, Parliament and Sedgewick

 

 

 

Grade one students have begun learning some of the songs we will share at our February 29^th concert.

Grade two students were working on rhythm practice including quarter notes, quarter rests, paired eighth notes and half notes.  They also continue to learn and practice So, Mi and La solfege.

Grades three, four and five students continue with or orff instruments in the Mallet Madness circut and are beginning to learn layered ostinati to both create accompaniment to songs we know, as well as some more challening songs without lyrics.
