- Parents: Please ensure your child is dressed for all weather conditions when they arrive at school. When the weather is wet an extra pair of pants is also a great idea! Thank-you!
- Parents: Just a reminder that we are a nut aware building. We have seen an increasing number of students coming to school with peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches and granola bars with nuts. Thank you for assisting us in keeping all students safe!
- Parents: Emailing the teacher for your child’s absence is great but please contact the office as well. Teachers may be absent that day as well or not see your email until well after attendance is completed. If the office doesn’t know, we are contacting you regardless. Thank you for your assistance during this very busy time of the day.
- There are over 180 demographic verification and annual authorization forms outstanding. If you have not completed them, please log into your MyCBE/PowerSchool account and complete these items. If you need assistance locating these forms please contact the office. Thank you for helping us keep our student data up to date.
- Noon Supervision and bus fees have been loaded to your MyCBE/PowerSchool accounts as of Monday, October 16th. We have over 340 students still not registered for noon supervision. If you have NOT Registered your Grade 1 -5 and alternating full day kindergarten students yet please do so. If your child stays at the school for lunch this is a requirement. If you need help with your MyCBE/PowerSchool account or need your child’s CBE # please contact the office for assistance. Thank you.

- As Remembrance Day is fast approaching. As part of this we are asking families (if applicable) to send a digital photo of your current Cranston Student as well as a photo (or a copy of an older photograph) of any current service member or veteran in your family. Please have your submissions emailed to Mrs. Stricker at ojstricker@cbe.ab.ca by November 4th. Ms. Stricker has kept all the submissions from last year’s display so if you submitted last year no need to resend for this year. There are a few bio questions to help identify their role and connection to our community.
