Principal's Post

Thank you to all our families who joined us for Student-Led Conferences last week. The enthusiasm and participation were truly off the charts, and it was wonderful to see our school filled with such positive energy and pride in learning. Our teachers put great thought and care into planning engaging stations that allowed students to confidently share their work and progress. It was wonderful to see students take ownership of their learning and guide their families through their classrooms.

Mr. Murray and Ms. McBride kept the Hub full of energy with music, dancing, and singing, which certainly added to the welcoming and celebratory atmosphere. A special thank you to Ms. Jackie and the many volunteers who ran another fantastic Book Fair – events like this would not be possible without their time and support. We would also like to extend a big thank you to our School Council for providing dinner for staff on Thursday evening and coffee on Friday morning. These thoughtful gestures are always appreciated and mean so much to our team.

Reminders and Ramblings

We hope all of our Cranston families have a restful and enjoyable Spring Break. We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Monday, March 30.

Our new school clothing featuring the updated logo arrived and went home with students prior to the break. We encourage students and staff who purchased items to wear their school clothing on our first day back as we celebrate our Cranston spirit together! If you missed this ordering window, the online store will re-open in September for the new school year.

School Council Corner

We are happy to see the response for our upcoming School Council Family Dance on April 16. Tickets are just about sold out – check your email for the ticket link so you don't miss out. The kids had a great time last year and we have even more fun planned this year!

Did you know School Council is a group of volunteer parents who care about making our school even better? We meet, plan, and run fundraisers and events throughout the year to support students and build community at Cranston School. We recently wrapped up our pizza fundraiser – huge thank you to everyone who participated! We raised close to $1,200! Because of fundraisers like this, we can cover the costs of programs like the Bhangra dance program students enjoyed a few weeks ago. Looking ahead, our biggest fundraiser is our casino night, held every two years. It helps fund larger school needs like replacing Chromebook charging carts and relies on parent volunteers to make it happen. More information will be shared this fall!
